A Bit about Marta

I was born and raised in Krakow, Poland, and at the age of 15 moved to Los Angeles with my family. My national and cultural identity often influences my design work. I am especially fascinated by folk arts and crafts, which is also what I love to do in my spare time: I crochet, book bind, and always try to learn a new art and craft to use in my various side projects.

I am also a musician: I sing soprano and play the flute. I participated in high school and college marching band for a total of nine years, and currently I sing in two choirs and pay in a wind ensemble. 

Last but not least, I am a huge nerd. I love watching Lord of the rings and old Sci-fi movies, go to Comic Con, Cosplay, and Play DND.

Currently I live in Portland, Oregon, where you can find me perusing art markets and thrift stores for more floral outfits and art supplies.
